Ward received this "fan letter" from a
parent of one of his students from the 80's.

Ward said that the student  was quiet and
rarely, if ever, asked a question. He also
noted that not only did the parent never
ask to have a conference with him to
discuss their concerns, the letter was sent
during the summer break!
